AMBROSE 1968 is a new brand, whose ethos is to combine British and Italian styling, to reflect the mutual appreciation between their respective menswear cultures – most British men try to dress like Italians whilst the English Style is ever popular in Italy.

 

The brand has been borne out of a desire to find high quality, well crafted and styled clothing.  The brand will start with shirting, and later will branch into outerwear and other clothing and accessories.

 

At the heart of all clothing will be well crafted products, sourced from artisans with true provenance and using natural materials.

 

The clothes will be wearable and desired by men and will be ageless.  They will be flexible to suit the modern world where business and leisure time is increasingly blended.

 

The initial collection of shirting concentrates on high quality Oxford, Chambray and Denim in semi formal button down and cutaway collars, with a tailored but not too slim fit to allow movement whilst retaining elegance. 

 

They are manufactured in an atelier close to the idyllic Italian town of Bergamo.

 

Specific, authentic details include perfectly proportioned collars so they can be worn with or without a tie, split yokes, engraved mother of pearl buttons and a left cuff cut slightly wider to accommodate larger wristwatches.
